Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are a vital resource for the Kansas City Indian Center. "Kansas City Indian Center could not live without the volunteers. We have folks that volunteer on a regular basis. They answer the phone, sort and record the mail, direct clients to the right person, empty trash, mop and sweep the floors, vacuum the offices and in general help keep the doors open," according to Nancy Blue.

Volunteers donate what time they have available, and assist in a wide variety of activities. Some of the ways volunteers are helping the KCIC include:

"Volunteers are the basis that we are built on. KCIC could not do without them," Mrs. Blue said, "Come and join our team and get that feeling of joy that only comes from being needed."

If you would like to volunteer your time, a little or a lot, please contact KCIC's Vounteer Coordinator, Maura Michelle Garcia, at mmgarcia@haicindian.com or at 816-421-7608.
